About Dr. Rajiv Maharaj

  • He got trained in Laparoscopic Surgery by Prof.C. Palanivelu as he completed his Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery.
  • Subsequently, he completed his Super-specialty in Surgical Gastroenterology at Hyderabad along with training in Liver Transplantation by Prof. Mohammed Rela. He has made several publications during his post-graduation. He has presented various papers at several National and International conferences.
  • He also received the best video award of AMASICON, 2014, Dubai.
  • He is a member of IMA (Indian Medical Association), ASI (Association of Surgeries of India), AMASI (Association of Minimal Access of India), IAGES (Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons), and IASG (Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology)
  • Outside academics, he has represented Tamilnadu in Basketball at the Junior level in 2001-2002 and is also interested in movie direction.
  • At present, he is a member of the Hindustan Coimbatore Basket Ball Club.
