• Dr. R. Vinoth Kumar , is the Chief and Senior consultant of our Department of Advanced therapeutic Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, of GEM Hospital Chennai, India. He is a skilled, modest, patient friendly and obtainable Gastroenterologist with more than 14 years of Clinical experience in the field of Gastroenterology.
•  He is an expert interventional endoscopist and has performed more than 4000 ERCPs and advanced procedures like Endoscopic ultrasound guided therapeutic interventions, POEM for achalasia cardia and third space endoscopies. He performs all advanced therapeutic interventions like EUS guided GJ, EUS guided hepaticogastrostomy, EUS guided antegrade stenting, EUS guided gall bladder drainage.
   
• He is a wonderful orator, and have delivered lectures in various conferences, doctors meetings and patients education forums. He is a wonderful human being who extends all due respect and empathy to patients as well as his fraternity members. He is an excellent teacher and have moulded numerous budding Gastroenterologists during his career.

Education And Training

• He has done his DM in Medical Gastroenterology from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, TN. He has underwent advanced therapeutic endoscopy under National and International starwards .

•  He did his EUS training program under world famous Prof. Peter Vilmann in Copenhagen Denmark. He was trained by Prof. Bing Hu, Chengdu, China in POEM and advanced third space endoscopy. 

• He holds the honour of being trained by Famous National faculties like Dr. Amol Bapaye (Pune) & Dr. Mallay Sharma (Meerut). He also holds the prestigious American College of Gastroenterology Diploma in Gastroenterology.
