Dr Babu Narayanan

Dr. Babu Narayanan is a Consultant Physician and Diabetologist with more than 23 years of experience in patient care and over 18 years of experience in clinical operations management for large multispecialty hospitals. His professional expertise spans internal medicine, diabetes care, critical care, medical toxicology, HIV medicine, lifestyle medicine and hospital administration.

He provides comprehensive diabetes care, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and long-term management. He also has extensive experience in managing poisoning cases, including snake bites and organophosphorus poisoning, as well as HIV-related conditions and critical illnesses.

Dr. Narayanan served as a member of the Tamil Nadu Government COVID-19 Expert Panel, contributing to the formulation and implementation of treatment protocols across the state. He personally treated more than 3,000 patients during the three waves of COVID-19, as stated in his profile. He also collaborated with the Parkinson Research Centre at King's College London to help introduce apomorphine-based therapy for advanced Parkinsonism in India.
